How a new multi-sensory room helped a nursery in Colchester.

Stepping Stones Nursery in Colchester (registered charity no. 1033539) was established in 1990, and is now operating from a purpose-built nursery building in the grounds of a community centre, where it aims to integrate children with special needs and provide respite care for parents. The nursery has 70 children between two- and five-years-old on its register, half of whom have special needs, including children with cerebral palsy, autism, Down’s Syndrome and other conditions.
