Set in the village of Dilton Marsh in rural Wiltshire, Fairfield Farm College is a Specialist College for students with SEND. The 26-acre farm site hosts a variety of day, residential and flexible respite breaks and was rated 'Good' by OFSTED and CQC in our last inspections.
Fairfield Farm College provides students with a safe and stimulating learning environment, where they can gain essential skills to support their transition to adulthood. Study programmes are undertaken from the age of 16. Flexible residential programmes are delivered in one of our houses, a few minutes stroll from the College.
The College boasts a variety of well-resourced teaching and vocational learning areas, where students can work in real life environments. On the premises there is a Café, Farm Shop, Post Office, Conference Venue, commercial kitchen, reception area as well as a Café and Animal Park on the outskirts of Trowbridge.
Students follow an externally accredited employability programme, developing skills in Enterprise, Farming, Animal Management, Horse Studies and Horticulture. All students study English, Maths, IT, Sports and Independence Skills through the I-Curriculum. The commercial areas provide work-based learning in our cafés, catering kitchens, retail and customer services areas, as well as external work experiences through our local partnerships with employers. We pride ourselves on our Advice and Guidance to support transition to adulthood. This is readily available from our Careers Lead, Job Coaches and through our partnerships.
Whilst at the College, students can enjoy their own common room with leisure and IT facilities, a multi-use games area, gym, a variety of extracurricular activities and events as well as our popular Youth Club and Holiday Workshops. We host a variety of student events throughout the year such as the Summer Ball, culminating in a Graduation Ceremony for our leavers.
The College is a Registered Charity and forms part of Fairfield Farm Trust.
