TCES - The Complete Education Solution - is a social enterprise providing Therapeutic Education to neurodiverse pupils at our five schools and services in and around London and nationally via TCES National Online School, supporting students who are often marginalised and fall through the education net.

Our therapeutic approach nurtures and supports pupils to find their talents and skills and give them the best opportunities for positive social, emotional and academic outcomes. We never exclude pupils, we never give up on them.

TCES East London is a day school rated 'Good' by Ofsted for neurodiverse pupils aged 11-19 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) funded by the local authority. We provide therapeutic education for pupils presenting with social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH), autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and other associated conditions.

Every pupil has individualised programmes and a bespoke curriculum adapted to enable them to access education, and transition into the school environment.

Our highly-skilled and experienced clinical team supports our unique therapeutic approach - with therapy for every pupil from a universal programme to individual sessions. This includes Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy and psychotherapies such as art and drama therapy and clinical psychology as required.

Our senior social workers support a holistic approach to ensuring parents and carers have an understanding and strategies in place to continue support for their children at home.

School approach

In small classes of up to 8 pupils we work with pupils to find and hone their unique talents and skills, encouraging them to develop these talents into a passion they can pursue.

Through our therapeutic approach, we support young people to develop their self-esteem, interpersonal and social skills, and help them make positive choices in and out of school.

Leadership is a key ingredient for our learning programme. Our award-winning LIFE (Leadership Skills, Independence Skills, Future Options and Empowerment) programme offers every pupil opportunity to learn to lead, before progressing to leadership positions around their school or community.

What others say

'Pupils arrive at the school having experienced significant challenges; some have not had formal education for prolonged periods of time. As a result of good teaching and care, pupils settle quickly and make good progress in most subjects, including English and mathematics.' - Ofsted.

'When he was permanently excluded for the first time in year 1 the week before he was statemented, I knew he would prove them wrong. When he first came to TCES, he didn't trust any teacher, but they helped him regain trust, and he has smashed it now' - Parent.

'My child is very happy at TCES East London school, it is absolutely the right place for him.' - Parent.

TCES Promise
