The Moat School is an Independent School for pupils aged 9-18 that is mainstream in structure and specialist in nature.

Children with dyslexia have difficulty in reading, writing, spelling and sometimes numeracy. They often experience difficulties with time concepts, spatial awareness, physical co-ordination, organisation and social interaction. Without specialist help many dyslexic children fall rapidly behind their peer group; they under-achieve and their prospects in life are severely impaired.

The Moat School, recognises the importance of providing a space for learners with unique learning profiles that is both nurturing and academic. All our pupils are encouraged to excel in their education, not just manage their learning difficulties. All pupils are supported through every key stage of their education alongside specialist support such as Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy.

The addition of the Sixth Form provision in 2020 has allowed for The Moat School to support learners as they head towards higher education. The support offered to pupils changes towards a focus on independence and the life skills required in a university or work setting, whilst still maintaining a degree of specialist provision.

Moat School Sixth Form: 23-31 Beavor Lane, Hammersith, W6 9AR.
