Treloar Nursery and School provide outstanding education, care, therapy and independence training to children and young people from 2 to 19 years of age with complex physical disabilities. Provision is both day and residential and students come from across the UK. Our educational and residential School provision were rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Our College, based on the same site, offers continued education and care up to the age of 25 and was similarly rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2017. At Treloar's we prepare students for life after they leave and equip them with the confidence, the independence skills and, where applicable, qualifications they require.

Students have access to an on-site health centre, occupational as well as speech and language and physio therapists. There are also visual impairment and assistive technology specialists plus dieticians and counsellors on-site. Therapy is integrated into the school day to maximise opportunities for learning. Our transition team work with each student from assessment through to their expected destination to help them reach their goals and aspirations.

Entry Requirement

Admission is considered on the basis of each student’s needs following discussion and assessment with education, medical, therapy and care staff. Each student's programme is constructed to ensure we meet their individual needs. Part-time placements, limited time placements and respite for day students are all available.

Life on Campus

Treloar's is situated in beautiful East Hampshire on the edge of Alton with a good road and rail network. We ensure a varied range of extra-curricular activities including sports, art, drama, clubs and visits off-site utilising our own specialist fleet of vehicles. On-site facilities include a swimming pool, all weather sports facilities, a hydrotherapy pool, a Rebound Therapy room and a social club.

Treloar Trust is a registered charity which supports Treloar School and College (Charity No 1092857).
