Set in a large country house and grounds with additional education and residential premises within the twenty-two acre site. We have a large playing field and hard court surfaces for recreation and an adventure playground in the grounds for our younger students.

Each house has its own lounge and kitchenette, toilets and showers, with most houses also containing baths. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for tidiness around the home and in their own rooms. They are encouraged to bring pictures, books and any other special items that are personal to them.

Our staff team work alongside our students within an accepting environment geared towards allowing young people with Asperger Syndrome to accept themselves, tolerate others, to have confidence, and experience success as they begin to become successful citizens.

Consistent teaching and learning takes place over a longer period than in mainstream day schools. Our class groups are small, allowing for individual programmes of study. At Cambian Pottersbury Lodge School we aim to provide consistent, diverse, enjoyable and structured learning opportunities through a waking day curriculum, seven days a week. We have a flexible approach to learning, personalising the curriculum and offering small teaching groups to meet students' learning needs and abilities.

Alongside the formal curriculum, behaviour management strategies and the development of social skills are also an integral part of every lesson on the timetable.

We understand that not all young people with Asperger Syndrome will learn new skills at the same pace. Our curriculum caters for students with a wide range of needs regardless of the speed of their progress. Cambian Potterspury Lodge School believes that our students are entitled to a curriculum that is characterised by breadth, relevance and progression. Our consistent approach provides an atmosphere of predictability and security in which students are able to work, learn and enjoy their learning and leisure time.

Staff are chosen for vitality and enthusiasm as well as for qualifications and experience. At Potterspury Lodge School we are all there to support our students to achieve their personal best.
