Special Needs

SEBD

CCS Essex is proud to deliver holistic educational experiences for all up to 12 pupils in total. Our young people have a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, which is why we take therapeutic approach to learning. We understand that building relationships with our pupils is essential, promoting not only their learning, but their personal growth and development too.

Holistic Education

Our close-knit, highly trained team of teaching staff and professionals are passionate about helping young people succeed in their education. Small pupil numbers, coupled with a high staff ratio, helps to cultivate a robust school community and nurturing learning environment within which our students can thrive. There are plenty of opportunities for one-on-one support, providing the perfect foundation for our pupils to engage with their education - and succeed!

Bespoke Curriculum

Alongside our wrap-around support, we're proud to offer a dynamic curriculum that places the needs of our pupils front and centre. This curriculum combines core and broader learning with a focus on social and emotional development, guiding our pupils in developing into well-rounded, confident, and capable members of society.

Motivate, Educate, Inspire

CCS Essex belongs to a well-respected family of Compass Community Schools based throughout the UK. At Compass, our mission is simple: providing outstanding education that inspires our young people and supports them in securing better outcomes.

We strive to deliver holistic educational experiences, developing young people who are responsible, caring, and respectful of others. Central to our ethos is the belief that every pupil can succeed with the right support. Our vision is to inspire our learners to make positive life choices, motivating them to overcome barriers to learning and make the most of their life chances.
