Vicarage Park is an innovative provision that proudly delivers bespoke education for up to 14 pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). As a small independent school, we're able to provide specialised learning and tailored therapeutic support for all our young people, working closely with them right from the beginning of their learning journey and throughout.

Holistic Education

At the heart of our curriculum is personal growth and development. At Vicarage Park, learning is geared at helping our pupils make sense of the world around them and find their place in it. Our young people's personal, social and health development is paramount, which is why we provide a wealth of learning opportunities and extracurricular activities - including horse riding, sport, music, dance and much more. This ensures that every pupil can enjoy an engaging, dynamic, and well-rounded educational experience - regardless of any barriers they may face.

Passionate Staff

Our experienced team of teaching staff and professionals are passionate about helping our pupils achieve their potential. They support us in delivering a varied and engaging curriculum that is designed specifically for pupils with learning difficulties, both moderate and severe. We've structured our learning to be stimulating and engaging for our pupils, with a clear therapeutic focus that allows our pupils to learn at a pace that suits their individual abilities and interests.

Motivate, Educate, Inspire

Vicarage Park belongs to a well-respected family of Compass Community Schools based throughout the UK. At Compass, our mission is simple: providing outstanding education that inspires our young people and supports them in securing better outcomes.

We strive to deliver holistic educational experiences, developing young people who are responsible, caring, and respectful of others. Central to our ethos is the belief that every pupil can succeed with the right support. Our vision is to inspire our learners to make positive life choices, motivating them to overcome barriers to learning and make the most of their life chances.
