Church Lawton School is The National Autistic Society’s second free school providing tailored care for local autistic students. We opened in 2015 and offer a highly specialised learning environment to our pupils on our brand new, purposebuilt site.
With large open classrooms and an average class size of six, our pupils have the space and attention they need to reach their full potential.
Combined with wellresourced classrooms our building is equipped for academic excellence, and so we aim for our pupils to perform well in different exam pathways including Entry Level, GCSEs, ASDAN, A Levels and more.
We have recently received an Ofsted rating of good with outstanding features.
We follow the principles of MyProgress®, The National Autistic Society’s overall strategy for working with children on the autism spectrum. Systematic and thorough, we work with you and your child to create the best education for them.
We equip pupils with the skills and knowledge to support them as they move
into further study and adult life. They get to know their community and, as they move through the school, have the opportunity to take part in work experience or study in local colleges and universities. Above all we
are dedicated to making sure every one of our pupils is given the tools they need to thrive. Placements are funded by your local authority.
