One of the largest schools in the UK for autistic children and young people, Robert Ogden School offers an environment where students can feel safe, supported and encouraged to achieve

beyond their expectations. Following the principles of MyProgress®, The National Autistic Society’s strategy for working with your child, we create a tailor-made experience for each student so they reach their full potential.

We are autism experts, with a specialist team dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education to our students. We have two Inclusive Learning Hubs run by a highly skilled group of staff who ensure pupils

with particularly complex needs, requiring a nondirective approach, get the individualised curriculum and attention they need to thrive alongside their peers.

With autism-friendly buildings and facilities, your child will comfortably settle into school life. We even have a pottery room, several sensory and soft play rooms, a purpose-built primary unit and a teaching flat for independent living skills. Our students have every opportunity to develop the skills they will need for adult life, which is why we have a student-run café and shop, an awardwinning fudge making enterprise project and a partnership with local charity shops. We give our students the help they need to make the best of their strengths and build upon them.

Placements are funded by your local authority.

“You have achieved what many others could not… I am so grateful for Robert Ogden, no wonder so many parents are fighting for a place, it truly is a magnificent school with magnificent staff.”
