At The Children's Trust School our aim is to provide high quality education and expertise to meet each pupil's individual special educational needs and to celebrate all achievements in a happy, secure environment.
As a non-maintained special school for 2-19 year olds, we pride ourselves on seeing the 'whole' child and delivering education, health and care for children and young people with complex needs in an integrated and holistic approach.
Through day and residential placements (of up to 52 weeks) we focus on personalised planning, supporting pupils to improve and develop understanding of the world around them and their functional skills.
We have a skilled team of teachers, classroom and care support staff, and nursing and medical staff. We also have an extensive team of therapists, ranging from occupational, physio and speech and language to play, leisure and music therapists.
Our school curriculum focuses on communication, language and literacy, fine and gross motor physical skills, environmental control technology, social, emotional and personal wellbeing and cognitive development.
We are also now able to offer education, care and therapy to children from the age of 2 through our newly opened nursery, Tadworth Tots. Offering morning and afternoon sessions, our early years pupils are offered successful and meaningful learning, shaped by the Early Years Foundation Stage. Alongside our nursery, we also offer Taddies, a weekly run parent and child group for children aged 0-5 years old who have additional needs.
We provide stimulating educational opportunities, supported by unparalleled expertise delivering significant outcomes for our pupils.
